Welcome
Welcome to the North Okanagan Employment Enhancement Society. We are a non-profit, charitable organization located on 30th Street across from the Vernon library. NOEES first opened its doors in 1988 to provide a number of employment-related services to individuals in the North Okanagan. Today, we continue to provide a number of excellent programs and services. Our funding is provided by the Province of BC.
Since 2003, NOEES has helped over 250 entrepreneurs with starting a new business. We encourage you to browse our Self Employment Program online directory, or stop by NOEES anytime for a printed copy.
NOEES also provides support for Ministry-referred clients who need help with lifestyle concerns such as finding housing, healthcare, clothing and food. Since 2006, we have worked with over 300 people to help better their lives.
At our Employment Centres in Armstrong, Enderby and Lumby, the friendly NOEES staff gladly help hundreds of jobseekers each year with their search for meaningful work. We also help local employers advertise their job postings and connect with some really great applicants including skilled immigrant jobseekers.
In 2011, we were pleased to announce a new program in Vernon called Job Options BC. This 8 week employment program is for jobseekers over the age of 18 who are not eligible for Employment Insurance.
NOEES is also very pleased to house the Vernon & District Volunteer Bureau in our building. If you are interested in volunteer opportunities, call our office or visit www.volunteervernon.ca.
Because we are a big supporter of outstanding customer service, we offer a series of low-cost workshops through WorldHost Training Services that teach and promote customer service excellence.
If you'd like to find out even more about what we do, drop by or call us anytime. We're always happy to help!
