Jobs Options BC


This 8 week employment program for job-seekers includes:

  • Career planning, job search skills and resume writing
  • 5 weeks of paid classroom sessions
  • Basic computer training
  • Additional training which can include WHMIS, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, First Aid, WorldHost® Customer Service Training, FoodSafe, Serving It Right, etc...
  • 3 weeks of work experience (wage subsidy available)
  • Daycare, travel and disability supports, if necessary

You are eligible for this program if you are:

  • Age 18 or older, and not going to school
  • Unemployed, looking for work and not participating in another Labour Market Agreement funded program
  • Not on Employment Insurance (have not established a regular EI claim in the last 3 years and have not established a maternity or parental claim in the past 5 years)
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada, and you are living in BC

Successful applications will be based on need and availability.
